Emergency Shelter
Womanspace East Inc. (WSE Inc.) provides emergency shelter to families with dependent children. The primary objective in emergency shelter is to identify the cause of homelessness and take necessary steps towards finding permanent housing through case management and referrals.
Child Development Program
The child development program supports the academic, social and emotional development of the children residing in WSE. We aim to provide them with opportunities to engage in new activities, develop new skills and support their continued academic growth. An after-school program is offered to children in grades K-12, and focuses on homework help and academic tutoring. We also offer all of our families the opportunity to take part in field trips to museums, sporting events, cultural festivals, professional theater productions and amusement parks.
